THE POSITION OF THE GOLF BALL FOR IRONS

The position of the golf ball in relation to the feet and the target line will determine the flight of the ball from the long iron to the short range iron.

Place a club on the ground that is pointing towards your target. With another club place it at a right angle to the club which is pointing to the target.. The left heel is placed against the second shaft of the club and your left foot slightly out. The right foot is placed just inside the width of your shoulders with both feet equal distance from the target line shaft.

For the shorter irons narrow your stance down by moving your right foot toward your left by at least a shoe width keeping the ball position the same.
